| With a new $275 Million Water Treatment plant to construct, the Detroit, MI Water Team (consisting of eleven firms) had to place a new potable
water line within 8 feet of new buildings. To eliminate potential damage to the structures from leaking pipe joints, a common problem with most piping materials, they chose AWWA approved 48" High-Density Polyethylene pipe, known for it's "no leak" butt-fused joints.
With the assistance of Mark Spelder, ISCO's Regional Sales Manager, and Tod Davis who performed the complex pipe fitting fusions shown in the picture, Bill Logue, the Project Manager of Walsh Construction successfully installed 1,000 feet of HDPE pipe for this project.
