Louisville, Ky. (January 26, 2016) – A successfully growing business demands an expanding space. ISCO Industries, a Louisville, Ky.-based pipe supplier and custom manufacturer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) piping products is excited to announce a move for the company’s headquarters to downtown Louisville.

ISCO now occupies more than 34,000 sq. feet on the second floor of the Presbyterian Center at 100 Witherspoon Street. The move and expansion was aided by incentives from the city of Louisville and state of Kentucky. Mayor Greg Fischer will join ISCO to mark a new moment in the development of the global company with humble beginnings in the heart of Louisville.

It is a historic move for the company, which started in 1962 distributing irrigation systems from the Kirchdorfer family hardware store on Baxter Avenue in the Highlands. Since then, ISCO has added multiple facilities across the globe including Canada, Chile, and Australia.

“While we hate leaving the Highlands, ISCO’s home from the beginning, we’re excited about the potential this new space offers our company,” explained ISCO chairman Jimmy Kirchdorfer. “We’re enjoying being a part of the community in downtown Louisville.”

The space was designed to position departments that rely on each other closer together in an open floor plan, improving work flow. “It’s remarkable the difference an efficient office can make,” said ISCO’s CEO and President Vince Tyra. “As we outgrew our former space, departments became spread among different floors and rooms throughout the building. This new design improves our internal and external communication and, most importantly, our speed in responding to our customers’ needs.”
